Staff at RadiantCare
RadiantCare is staffed by a dedicated team of physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, radiation therapists, patient care coordinators and administrative personnel. Each team member plays an integral role in giving patients the most comprehensive care possible. Learn about our services.
Physicians
Radiation Oncologists are physicians who specialize in cancer treatment. They collaborate with other physicians involved in the care for the patient. The radiation oncologist creates individualized treatment plans prior to a patient receiving radiation therapy.
Physicists/Dosimetrists
Based on the treatment plan developed by the radiation oncologists, physicists and dosimetrists ensure that radiation treatments are designed and calculated appropriately. The physicists also calibrate the machines used to deliver the radiation therapy.
Nurses
Nurses are one of the primary points of contact for patients undergoing radiation treatment. They provide an orientation to therapy, help patients manage side effects and are available to address the patients’ emotional and supportive needs.
Therapists
Radiation therapists are nationally certified staff members who are responsible for positioning the patients on the treatment table and operating the machines that deliver the radiation. Since patients are treated daily, the Therapists are also a primary point of contact with the patients.
Patient Care Coordinators
Patient Care Coordinators are the first contact patients have with our facilities. They schedule appointments, obtain the pertinent medical information on all patients for our physicians to review, and they greet and register the patients when they arrive at our office.
Administrative Personnel
These are the employees who handle all business and operational functions for the facilities. We also have billing specialists available to answer questions and assist patients with billing issues.
